We will be covering the events on the tundra leading up to the massive invasion, including courtship, breeding, and rearing of the owlets. Additionally, we will look at an overview of the habits and wanderings of 3 GPS outfitted Snowy Owls from New York this past season.
Tom McDonald has been working with Snowy Owls in New York State for 25 years. The primary thrust of his work has been devoted to migration ecology and Snowy Owl behavioral studies under Project Snowywatch. Tom has also been an active contributing member of the International Snowy Owl Working Group since 2009 and acted as regional coordinator for Project SNOWstorm in 2013.
