Rochester Christmas Bird Count 2023: An opportunity to Contribute, Learn, and be part of the Community
Save the date of Sunday, December 17th: to participate in the 120th year of the Rochester Christmas Bird Count!
Each year we count the species and numbers of birds in the Rochester area (map inset). We compile the data and send it to the National Audubon Society and who use it to identify trends and influence policy.
This is a significant opportunity.
- to develop your birding skills in the field
- to make connections in the birding community
- to contribute to ‘Citizen Science’
- to attend the tally dinner, exchange stories, enjoy pizza and make birdy friends.
