Annual Meeting and Elections via Zoom with Speaker Paul Bannick – “The Owl and the Woodpecker” – Thursday, January 13, 2022

We will have an encore presentation by Paul Bannick, who was so well attended last month that we quickly reached our Zoom capacity and many people could not get in to watch his presentation. This will not be a repeat of his December talk, but a new presentation, “The Owl and the Woodpecker.”

New! Sandra L. Frankel Nature Park (Brickyard Trail) – Registration opens May 21, 2022

The Brickyard Trail is a wide, flat, fine gravel, multi-use trail situated between Elmwood Avenue and Westfall Road in Brighton (across from the east end of Buckland Park). It contains woods at both ends and ponds and marsh in the middle, providing good bird habitat.

Taylor Road – Headwaters of Irondequoit Creek – Registration Opens May 17, 2022

We will walk the woods and mowed grassy trails of the 65-acre property of RBA member Linda Roca.  Hedgerows, fields, Irondequoit Creek, brushy habitat, and woods should be productive for thrushes, late warblers, and woodpeckers among others.
