We’ll be looking for thrushes and other migrants. Durand can be surprising this time of year. This will be an easy 2-3 hour walk mostly along paved roads, with a steady medium grade at one point. Length about 2.5 miles, total.

Restroom facilities are not available on this route, but are in other areas of the park.

Meet at 8:00 a.m. in Parking Lot D on the north side of Lake Shore Blvd. between Zoo Road and Log Cabin Road.

RBA Field Trip Guidelines

All field trips go rain/snow or shine unless there is a travel advisory issued. Trips run approximately 2 to 4 hours. Bring binoculars. Wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Please arrive at the designated meeting location 10 minutes before the start time of the trip. Colds, flu, and COVID are still around–if you’re not feeling well, please stay home. Please carpool when possible!
