We will be mostly walking on paved walkways with gentle hills; walking in grass\, a possibility. No restrooms available. \nMeet at 8:00 a.m. on Reservoir Avenue in front of the Conservatory building. \nLeader: Jeanne Verhulst 585-362-0803 and co-leader Amy Kahn 585-310-2330 \n  \nRBA Field Trip Guidelines \nAll field trips go rain/snow or shine unless there is a travel advisory issued. Trips run approximately 2 to 4 hours. Bring binoculars. Wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. No restrooms available. \nMeet at 8:00 a.m. on Reservoir Avenue in front of the Conservatory building. \nCOVID-19 Policies and Procedures \nThe Rochester Birding Association has instituted the following procedures for all field trips for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic. By registering for a field trip\, you acknowledge that you have read and will abide by these policies. \nRegistration Policies: \n\nAdvance registration through Eventbrite is required in order to attend the trip. NYS guidelines for the allowable number of attendees at an outdoor gathering have eased considerably\, but out of an abundance of caution\, we will continue capacity limits that will be determined on a trip-by-trip basis.\nIndividuals who did not pre-register will not be allowed to attend the field trip.\nShould you decide not to attend the trip\, we encourage you to cancel your reservation before 1:00 PM the day before the trip to make room for others. DESCRIPTION:The RBA is committed to following NYS guidelines and directives regarding social distancing and the COVID-19 pandemic. \nCurrently\, all field trips\, meetings\, and birds-and-brews through the end of April are cancelled\, and we anticipate canceling events in May and June as well. As the situation is dynamic\, we will continue to monitor conditions and make changes to our schedule as needed. Should the situation improve and Governor Cuomo lift restrictions on gathering sizes\, we may reinstate currently cancelled trips. Visiting the event posting on our website is the surest way to tell if an event has been cancelled. \nWhile we are not currently able to bird together during this difficult time\, we encourage everyone to keep birding on their own. DESCRIPTION:If you’ve been to the Lilac Festival\, then you’ve been to Highland Park.  Is it a little weird here to bird in September?  Maybe – but someone has to do it\, and this will be a nice relaxing trip after the craziness of the Muckrace the weekend before.  We’ll take a walk around the reservoir and through the pinetum\, and we may even head across the street to the Lily Pond and the Sunken Garden.
